On Saturday, 14th September, at 6.30 p.m. the concert "The flute in the golden hall" will be held in Palazzo Manzi in Dongo. The concert is part of the Arte Solidale Festival, a charity series of classical music concerts held every year on Lake Como.
Two young talents and a renowned flautist come together for an afternoon of piano and chamber music in the Sala d'Oro. Annika Boras, on flute, dedicates this concert to the Late 19th Century, featuring music from the French and Russian traditions, from Saint-Saëns to Tchaikovsky, exploring deep lyricism and the marked virtuosity of some compositions, such as the famous Fantasy by Andersen, performed together with the Mexican pianist Juan Pablo Hinojosa. The concert will be introduced by young Lidia Canino, a student of the Don Carlo Basci Academy in Menaggio, who will perform Chopin, followed by Giorgio Colleoni presenting a Sonata by Ludwig van Beethoven.
