La DiVino Commedia: this is the second event dedicated to the 700th anniversary of Dante Alighieri's death. On Thursday 29th August, the municipality and Pro Loco of Dervio will organize an evening, with terzines from Dante's Comedy, in a cultural and enological performance.
The show will take place at Parco Boldona, in Dervio, at 8:00 p.m. The actor, Nicola Bizzarri from the Stendhart Teatro and Luca Redaelli, on the violin, will delight us with their artistic performance, taking us back the the Divine Comedy's verses, givong us the chance to meet with figures engraved in our collective imagination.
The show it's not only a simple readthrough of terzines from Dante's work, but an highlight of the connection between the poet and Italy, thereby enhancing culture and territory.
Thus, came about the idea to combine one of the greatest literary masterpieces in the world with one of the Italian territory's products of excellence: wine.
La DiVino Commedia wants to be a meeting point between culture and land, poetry and taste, artistic greatness and enologic greatness.
The poet's verses will be presented to the public, read and interpreted by an ACTOR, breaking the reading up with short ironic moments, congruent with the context, attaining to a smooth and delightful experience.There will also be a VIOLINIST on stage, accompanying the readthrough with music inspired by the selected canto.
The wine will be introduced and explained, underlining its sensorial and organileptic charcteristics, by a graduate enologist which will introduce the tasting.
The public will, then, be able to taste the images quoted by the actor with their sight, enjoy the violin's notes with their sense of hearing and inebriate their sense of taste with the taste of wine and gastronomy, immersing themselves in a sensorial and cultural journey.
