When you arrive at the railway level crossing by the Bridge over the Adda river, park the car and start walking along the raised river side on the walking track ,following the river for about 2,4 km.
The last section of the Adda river is an artificial ridge which was made by the Austrians in the XIX century, deviating the natural course of the river in order to drain the land for agricultural use. Once you pass the stone crushing company the path joins the rough road that takes you to the observatory in front of a pond inhabited by amphibians, butterflies and invertebrates: with a bit of luck you can see also many types of acquatic birds: from swans to ducks, from coots to grebes, from herons to kingfishers.
When you have finished go back (a visit to the mouth of the Adda river is only allowed accompanied by a guide): after 1.3kms you come to an electricity cabin (4): go left and at the junction after 200 m (5) go right passing in the middle of the cultivated fields to come back to the level crossing.
