About us

On 9 March 2017, the Tourist Associations officially established North Lake Como with the aim of coordinating the tourist activities and carrying out shared and common strategies. North Lake Como is headquartered in Palazzo Gallio in Gravedona ed Uniti, and brings together about 300 operators (accommodation facilities, restaurants, holiday farms, businesses, artisans, etc.) of the territory between Colico and Dongo (including the valleys).
The main reasons for the establishment of this new association are:
the awareness that an integrated approach is needed to fully exploit the tourist potential, which focuses on the attractions of the territory, not only in terms of tourism, but also in other areas of the economy, such as trade, services, culture, crafts, agriculture, etc.;
the conviction that a synergistic and effective collaboration between the operators in these fields is essential in order to cope with a dynamic and ever-changing market;
the need to solve one of the biggest shortcomings of our system: the excessive fragmentation that too often translates into uncoordinated activities.
With this in mind, associations have been set up over the years that bring together all the operators in the area and that have developed actions to promote tourism. An even more positive aspect has been the wide-ranging collaboration established between the associations, which has also allowed the creation of common projects with coordinated graphics, also thanks to the ongoing support of the Mountain Community of Montana Valli del Lario and Ceresio and the Municipal Administrations. Continuing in this direction, North Lake Como was set up to promote greater coordination and cooperation. It consists of five associations already present in the territory and involves Public Administrations and Pro Locos in order to be as representative as possible.
The North Lake Como Association aims to coordinate ideas, efforts, projects, initiatives in order to create and stimulate a tourist offer integrated throughout the Alto Lago di Como.
