Ingredients for 8 people (1 cake):
• 500 g stale bread
• ½ litre of milk
• 2 eggs
• 5 or 6 amaretto biscuits
• 1 apple
• 1 pear
• 20 g of pine nuts or walnuts
• Approx. 100 g of dried fruit (raisins, apricots, plums, dates)
• 1 glass of amaretto
• 50 g of butter
• 100 g of white flour
• 50 g of bitter cocoa
• 100 g of sugar

Preparation time: 60 minutes
A traditional dessert prepared with seasonal ingredients, especially winter ones. Put the bread cut into pieces in to milk for a couple of hours, then with a spoon combine it with the eggs, dry fruit (previously soaked in warm water, pine nuts or nuts, apple and pear cut into pieces, sugar, amaretti, liquor and cocoa. Mix well and pour it into a shallow pan well greased and floured.
Cook at 200 degrees for 15/20 minutes, then another 15/20 minutes at 150 degrees. Remove from the oven, checking that it is cooked otherwise leave for another few minutes.
